Monday December 13,2010 DAYS GONE BY 100 years ago -1910 Mrs.Elizabeth Hirst,Gilmore or Lutz, of Pottsville,not only lost her suit for $50,000 damages, which was tried in Pittsburg, but got herself in a peck of trouble that may result in her serving a term for bigamy.It was shown by witnesses that the woman not only had three husbands, but that she had two of them in jail at one time,one for nonsupport and the other for larceny. Husband Lutz and husband Gilmore were present at the hearing prepared to testify, while husband Hirst, who is supposed to be the original one,wrote from Calfornia, expressing a desire to come and testify against his wife if the case was delayed a few weeks.
