My mother's family is from Ashland, and her grandfather worked in the hospital for many years. I would suggest visiting the Ashland Public Library. They have some hyper-local resources not available at either Schuykill Court House or Schuykill Historical Society. You can get a non-resident Library card for a minimal fee.
