Looking for more info about a mine explosion in New Castle August 1859. Ancestor, John SMIDDY/SMEDLY b 1829 Ireland, d 1859 Newcastle, PA. He left wife and two young children. He hd been the US a short time and may have had relative who was also coal miner. thanks, Patti
