Author: karenmeasel196 Surnames: Radusky Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.schuylkill/12049/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Pottsville Evening Republican Sunday November 21,2010 DAYS GONE BY 100 years ago-1910 Lizzie Radusky,aged 8 years and a scholor at the second grade at Mahanoy City,is lying at the home of her parents suffering with burns that may result in the loss of her life.This morning during the recess hour the little girl was standing with her back towards a heating stove when her clothing became ignited.With her clothing all aflame the child ran screaming into another room.Here she was captured by a teacher and with the assistance of another teacher,who came running after the child,the flames were extinguished.She was burned from her knees to her neck and is suffering from the fumes inhaled.Three doctors were in attendance and no hope is entertained for her recovery.
