Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.schuylkill/12011/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Pottsville Evening Republican Tuesday June 6,1922 DEATH CLAIMS MRS.BOTHAM Mrs.Mary Botham,aged 96 years one month and 26 days died Tuesday morning at the home of her grandson,David Price,of Shenandoah,after a two week illness due to complications.Deceased was the daughter of William and Ann Chambers,and was born in Nottingham,England,April 11, 1826,and was married to John Botham in June, 1846.After marriage she lived in Oldham and Lanceister until she came to this country in December 1864.The family settled at Wadesville, where Mrs.Botham lived until five years ago,when on account of her age she decided to go to Shenandoah to make her home with her oldest grandchild,David Price,where she lived contented and happy.Her death occurred on the 66th anniversary of her marriage.She was a member of the Adventist church at Wadesville. Her husband died June 25th 1904.They had four children,Elizabeth,died in infancy;William,of New Castle;Mrs.Mary Jenkins,and Mrs.David Bunn, of Shenandoah.She is also survived by 17 grandchildren,32 graet grandchildren, and on! e great great grandchild.Frank Barnes, of Pottsville,is a nephew.She was affectionately known by young and old as "Grandma" Botham.
