Several years ago, I was sent copies of an article, which I believe was put together by Lorraine Stanton, abt Ashland, 1879-1880. It appeared in the Shenandoah HERALD. The article is an alphabetical list of businesses in Ashland for those years, plus the Borough officers. If there is any kind of directory from an earlier time, I don't know.
