Dept. of Health. If you know the year of death, the fee is $9. You could also check with the Historical Society of Schuylkill County, which has indexes to church records and obituaries, although they mostly cover years earlier than 1968. The Pottsville Free Library has copies of local newspapers on microfilm. You may also be able to order them through Interlibrary Loan. If you can narrow down the month of death through the SSDI, then you could possibly order just the month you need to look at (and hope that he/she didn't die at the end of month and have their death notice published the following month).
