Liberty Street comes to an end at the Cemetery. If you go down Liberty Street from the Cemetery about a block and turn left on a street that parallels Franklin Street, you will be at the Salem Methodist Church, which probably originated as the Salem Evangelical Church. Both the Cemetery and Church are within the Borough of Orwigsburg. (Denomination History: the Evangelical Church and the United Brethren in Christ merged in 1946 to become the Evangelical United Brethren; which in turn merged into the United Methodist Church in 1968.)
