Thank you! I have been digging through more land purchase records. I'm not sure about some of the earlier dates as I confused warrents with purchase dates. Jonathan and John Shoemaker bought land 2/14/1786 in Northampton. The warranter was George Shoemaker. Other Shoemaker land purchases in Northampton: Isaac (2/5/1785), Conrad (4/11/1748), Henry (3/12/1784), Daniel (2/9/1784), Mary C. & Jacob (in trust, 4/28/1785; warranter-Michael Shoemaker, orphans portion), Daniel & heirs of Elijah (3/17/1787)Henry (6/9/1787), Abraham (also noted William & Daniel, 5/23/1787), Paul (11/13/1788), Henry & Samuel (8/18/1889). I did not find Zimmermans in the Northampton listings. However, there were several in other counties. Tax records for Schuylkill list the following Zimmermans: Peter (1809, 1810, 1811), William (1813), George (1825), Peter (1825), Henry (1838), Sebastian (1838), Abraham (1840), Samuel (1852, 1853), David (1853), Peter (1856). John is the only Shoemaker listed. Philadelphia ship re! cords show the following arrivals: Johannes Nicholas Schumacher (9/23/1741), Hans Jacob, Anna Maria, Paul, George & Anna Maria Shoemaker (10/8/1737), George Zimmerman (10/25/1746), Michael Shoemaker (9/13/1749), Friedrik Zimmerman (9/28/1751), Johannes Shoemaker (11/7/1754), Henry Shoemaker (9/5/1743), Friedrich & John Tobias Zimmerman (8/28/1750), Peter Shoemaker (9/29/1753). >From the information you provided, it seems reasonable to conclude that Mary (Polly) Shoemaker was Jonathan Shoemaker's younger sister. The Caroline Zimmerman who was living with Cordilla in the 1850 census may have been called by her middle name. Cordilla may have been called by her middle name as well. Mary Isabella Shoemaker is buried in the Oddfellows Cemetary in Tamaqua. It is likely Cordilla Eveland is buried there, possibly near her husband, Edward Eveland. These dates could help identify her family of origin. It is very unfortunate the the baptismal records for Zion UCC were destroyed. It would certainly make this process much easier.
