There are no Zimmerman's in Weisenberg, Northumberland (John Shoemaker's birth place) or West Penn until 1810. Apparently, many people migrated to this area from elsewhere in the early 1800's. The Zimmerman's found in West Penn in 1810 are likely related to your Daniel. I'm just not sure what their relationship might be to Cordilla (probably Cordilia). When you get the chance to peruse the Oddfellows Cemetary records, here is some other information that might be helpful: Edward Eveland (1813) had 8 children with his 1st wife, Rebecca, and 8 children with Cordilia (1843) whom he called Cotilla. According to the 1880 census, his children with Cordelia were: Ellen (1862), Susan (1865), William (1867), Carrie (1869), Harry (1872), Charles (1875), Ida (1877) & Effa (1880). Mary Isabella Eveland (1859) was married to Peter Jonathan Shoemaker (1862). I think 3 of their children are buried there as well - Elsie Beltz (1892), Gideon Ralph Russell (1899), William Arthur Stanley (1903). There may also be an infant (Mary Isabella) who would have been born around 1891. One other thing that may be significant: Cordelia's brother Moses is living in West Penn with P. F. Leiby in the 1860 census. Perhaps his wife is a Zimmerman. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
