Sorry I didn't answer sooner but when I tried to leave a response, I was locked out and told by the Ancestry.com help desk that their user name and password system wasn't working. Duh!! Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I already checked the wills and estates at the Schuylkill County Court House and found nothing on anybody who mentioned a Jeremiah Lehman as an heir. In fact, there was only one Lehman will filed before 1880 and a few estates but none that mentioned a Jeremiah Lehman or any variation. >From the census figures you gave me, I would think that those two Jeremiah Lehman families are one and the same. I have nothing from the marriage records of either Jacob's or St. Peter's Churches that indicate your Jeremiah Lehman was married there. You said the burial record of Jeremiah Lehman stated he was born in 1823 when he died on December 15, 1895. Usually ministers gave the age of the deceased in years, months and days, making it fairly easy to count backwards to establish the date of birth. At what church did you find those burial records? If you would like to correspond directly with me, my e-mail address is 5catz@comcast.net. ~Cheryl Schneck Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
