I'm glad I could make you smile! Did the birth date of my Jeremiah match that of your Jeremiah? The other children of John George and Maria Lehman were: Catharina Anna Lehman, born December 27, 1826, baptised April 13, 1827, at Jacob's with Peter and Sarina Rehrer as sponsors Maria Lehman, born September 22, 1828, baptised December 14, 1828, at Jacob's with Catharina Reith as sponsor Susanna Lehman, born November 14, 1833, baptised January 13,1834, at Jacob's with Catharina Ney as sponsor Rebecca Lehman, born January 4, 1835, died June 2, 1837, baptised April 20, 1835, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with ______ Kuhns as sponsor, buried Gunkle's Union Cemetery, Pine Grove Borough Johannes Lehman, born April 27, 1837, baptised September 17, 1837, at Jacob's with Adam and Catharine Spankuch as sponsors Emily Lehman, born March 2, 1840, died October 26, 1842, buried Gunkle's Union Cemetery, Pine Grove Borough Other than the deaths of the two daughters who died very young, I didn't find any trace of any of the children other than in census records from 1830 through 1860. Their father, John George Lehman, was born November 27, 1797, a son of Jacob and Susanna Lehman, and died January 17, 1872, according to records of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove Borough. His wife, Maria, wasn't with him for the 1860 census so it's entirely possible that she died prior to the census. John George was listed as being a master carpenter and lived alone during the 1860 census. For some unknown reason, I have a 20-year old note in the file indicating that Maria's maiden name may have been Kuhns. Please let me know if you found a link to any of this information! ~ Cheryl Fidler Schneck Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
