Coles Patch is in East Mahanoy Township...it may be listed simply as Mahanoy or Mahanoy Township. The Patch is located at the West End of Mahanoy City (simply blends into the end of the town). At one time the Patch was located on both the North and South sides of the highway (Rt 45; later Rt 54) and contained approximately 800 families. Today there are about six homes left on the North side of Rt 54. Just a suggestion....broaden your search. The family you are searching for could have moved out of the area completely.
