The best people, hands down, to ask about anything historical pertaining to Mahanoy would be the folks at the Schuylkill County Historical Society, or perhaps they can put you in touch with Shirley Ryan, who is extraordinarily helpful & a very well respected authority on the Mahanoy City area and its origins.
