My wife (a Seitzinger) has family in Fountain Springs and Ashland so we go up quite often. Each time we do, I try to wander the Cemetery to find new family grave sites to photograph for our Seitzinger web site. Last summer, we had a memorial service a the cemetery to recognize James Monroe Seitzinger's Medal of Honor from the Civil War. We placed a plaque on his grave to honor that. By the way, if you are interested, a sister of Faye just passed away. From her obituary in the Pottsville Republican today: "Hope S. Briel, 78, of 30 S. 10th St., Ashland, passed away Tuesday at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs. Born in Fountain Springs, Aug. 10, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Stella Mader Seitzinger. She was a graduate of Butler Township High School."
