    3. Hi everyone I am so glad to see new people are asking questions. However to save you a headache, please use the search engine on our website. You will find there are numerous census records on the site. The 1890 Directory is partially on the website. As stated you can obtain a copy of the Dir from The HSSC. This is the Business Directory put out, similar to a phone book. The 1890 census was burned in a fire and the ONLY way to obtain this information. You will also find other material on this website. Please look through the many pages before asking your questions as the answer may already be there. Thanks BarbL Richard Emlin Reed <remlinr@tampabay.rr.com> wrote: As stated by others, the 1890 Census was almost completely destroyed by fire; however, there exists a microfilm record of the Schuylkill County Historical Preservation Project which attempted to reconstruct the 1890 Census. I had recourse to Reel #2 at the Pottsville Library, in 1994, while researching the Stamm Family. I don't know how complete the project is; but you might be able to satisfy your curiosity by contacting the library, http://www.pottsvillelibrary.org/where.htm "Where and how to reach us". 3. Also, the National Archives is trying to re-construct the 1890 Census from directories and tax record, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: Barb Lavin<mailto:pacemeteries@yahoo.com> To: paschuyl@rootsweb.com<mailto:paschuyl@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 29, 2007 8:39 AM Subject: Re: [PASCHUYL] 1890 census Hi everyone I am so glad to see new people are asking questions.
