I'm posting this query to county lists where early Foust families resided. I'm descended from John & Rebecca Foust who moved to Mifflin County, PA by 1830. Rebecca Foust was born in 1796. They had these children: Jacob b. 1821 (born Berks County); Sarah Ann b. 1833 (b. Mifflin County) and James L. born 1835. Does anyone know the parents of John Foust or Rebecca, his wife? Also, I've been told by another researcher that the will of William Cox (1822 Columbia County) listed his daughter, Rebecca, as married to John Foust. I'm trying to research whether this could be my John & Rebecca Foust. I checked these census records: 1800 Census: John Foust – Mahoning Township, Northumberland County, aged 26-44 (Columbia County was formed from Northumberland County in 1813) 1820 Census: John Foust Sr. - Hemlock Township, Columbia County. Aged 45 or over John Foust Jr. – same township, aged 16 to 26. (Could this be John married to Rebecca Cox?) 1830 Census John Foust – Hemlock Township, Columbia County, aged 70 to 80 Where was John Foust, Sr. in the 1790 Census? Does anyone know who the parents were of John Foust, Sr.? Does he fit into one of the Foust families from Berks County? Does anyone know more about the family of John Foust, Jr.?
