I don't have much information on Luther's wife Stella before her marriage. The Schuylkill County Marriage dockett has her name as Meder. However, I DID find a family with a daughter Irene in the 1900 Census with a father Anthony MADER, born in PA. Tracing back, I found an 1870 census for Mount Carmel, Northumberland County that looks like HIS family. If so, it looks like Anthony's parents were Philip Mader b. 1825 in Württemberg and Anna, b. 1835 in Prussia. Anthony had siblings: Walter b. 1857, Mary b. 1859, Anna b. 1864, Nicholas b. 1866 and Caroline b. 1869 Hope this helps.
