If someone has acess to an 1890 census for Schuylkill County for Orwigsburg, would you please check to see if a Lizzie M Wall is in it? She immigrated from Ireland in 1889. I just wanted to see if there is a record of her before she married Frank Bossler in 1898 or 1899, she would be about 17. Thank you for any help. Sorry, Lizzie Wall is not in Orwigsburg in the 1890 directory, however Frank Bossler 19 (works in shoe factory) is living with Samuel S> 47, Johannah, George 17 (barber), and John R. 15. The 1890 (I think) might be online at the Schuylkill Co. Genealogy web page? In the 1890 directory, there are NO ages for the females - I suppose that could be a good thing, but it is not helpful to us into genealogy.... Sarah Quinn
Hi, the only place to look is the A Directory of the Eleventh Census of the Population of Schuylkill County, Lebanon PA, E. E. Schartel, Publisher, 1891 Enterprise Print, Myerstown, PA. P. 543, Orwigsburg, Walbert, George H, 27, minister, Lizzie This was the only name close with Lizzie. Cheers. As stated by others, the 1890 Census was almost completely destroyed by fire; however, there exists a microfilm record of the Schuylkill County Historical Preservation Project which attempted to reconstruct the 1890 Census. I had recourse to Reel #2 at the Pottsville Library, in 1994, while researching the Stamm Family.
