They were stored in the offices of the Pottsville Republican in Shenandoah and most are in such bad condition that they cannot be viewed. Some of them have been transferred to the Mahanoy City Library. They are trying to raise funds in order to get them digitally copied. It should be quite a while before they get enough funds to do it. Try the Shenandoah papers. They were recently microfilmed and are at the Pottsville Library and the Schuylkill Co. Historical Society. Many stories/obits/marriages/etc. appeared in both papers.
