Thank you to all that have responded to my queries!! I have now learned that Sada Deiter shown on the 1900 census was born 5 Feb 1893 and is the daughter of John Dieter and Lizzie (born) Geist. However, I am still somewhat confused and hope someone can clear this up for me. When did John Dieter and Elizabeth Geist marry? Who were there parents? I see from the Marriage Docket list that Lizze Geist married John Miller (Book Number 7-A134 between 1885-1910). Why did she use her maiden name if previously married to John Dieter?? When did she marry John Miller and who were the parents shown on this marriage? Everyone has been so helpful . . . I'm sure there's is someone that can clarify all of this for me. I think what's confusing me is Sada Deiter is shown as "step-sister" on the 1900 census under John & Lizzie Miller and Francis Dunleavy is shown as "step-brother".
