Dorothy H. [UK] > Hi Dorothy, The 1890 US Federal Population Census was destroyed by fire. BUT, we Schuylkill County, PA researchers are lucky enough to have a County Directory based on the information from the 1890 census taken in the County. Quite a bit of this directory can be found online at the Schuylkill County GenWeb site in the Archive section. http://www.rootsweb.com/~paschuyl/schuylki.htm If the person you are looking for doesn't show up in any of the transcriptions that are there; quite a number of the list members have purchased reprints of this directory from the Historical Society of Schuylkill County and I am sure that at least one or more of us might be able to assist you in at least a quick check. Just let us know if you can't find the person. HTH Elizabeth ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
