I imagine you are familiar with it and have the data. Here's my theory though... There was no son "David" 1874-100 I feel this is a mistaken entry for the father David. The birth shoudl read 1833 or 34... but it was carved wrong. A son David 1874 never makes the census.. and in 1880 he'd have to be with the family as a 6 year old.. even in 1890 when he'd be 16 and most likely with the family in Turkey Run. Finally, sister Margarert is born in 1874, so unless there was a twin brother, David, who never shows up in the census records as a child... then I feel the more likley situaion is the Father is buried here with the mother... In 1888, 1890 and 1900 when Benjamin and the parents had died, they may not have been able to afford a stone, perhaps a temporary marker was placed there. .... the permanent stone may not have been placed till much later.. even 1948 with the death of your Mary Mathias Howells. Anyway, I added the death dates to my file on FTM and corrected the assumption of a brother David which I feel you probably made from seeing this stone.
