I've been able to trace it back (with help) to Adam Mengel that was born 8-9-1752 and died 3-16-1843 in west brunswick township, Schuylkill County, PA. I have his fathers name as Frederick Mengel but don't know who he married, when he was born, his parents, etc. Frederick had a brother whose name was Adam as well. He was born in 1719 and died in 1799. I have no other info about their history and was wondering if you could help out. I'm pretty sure they came over from Germany at one point, but don't know when. Would you know of anyway to check different countries records from the 1700's? Thanks for anything you can do for me in advance.
