St. Boniface German Catholic Cemetery is one of my favorite cemeteries! I have many ancestor's buried there. It is very easy to find. >From Pottsville - Go North on Route 61 (towards St.Clair). At St.Clair, turn left at the second light, which is W.Hancock St.(if you get to Wal-Mart, you have gone too far) On your right hand-side, if you look up, you will see an old cemetery. This is not St. Boniface. Continue straight for approximately 1/4 mile. You will see a cemetery on your left-hand side. It is in Arnots Addition & they have a St.Boniface sign at the entrance. Make a left into the cemetery. When you enter, St.Boniface is on both sides of the road. On your left-hand side, there is a low rock wall, which separates the St.Boniface German Catholic Cemetery from the Irish St.Mary's Roman Catholic cemetery. The St.Boniface Church is in the town of St.Clair. What names are you looking for? We may be related! Phillip & Anna Margaretha Plappert are my Great-Great Grandparents & are buried there. There are also other Plappert's buried in the cemetery. There were Plappert's in Pottsville & Ploppert's in Shenandoah. I have seen the name spelled both ways. Let me know if we are related.
