In my first post I mixed up notes on two photos I have. I am still trying to pin down Keagey, but the photo I have that he did is of a single woman. Her dress appears to be the style of the Civil War period, and if she is who I think she is (Ruth Anna Mayer), she would have been about 20 yrs old in 1860, which matches the appearance of the woman in the photo. In any case I also found some census entries for Keagey and have listed them below in case they are of interest to you. The 1870 entry may be another man. If I have the right man, he sure switched occupation between 1870 and 1900, and I thought Keagey was operating as a photographer in Shenandoah before 1870 - but he would have been pretty young. The Schuylkill Co Historical Society is high on my list of places to visit. I'll keep you in mind when I get to check their records.
