I also had ancestors of Evans relatives by marriage living on Shaft Street for many years. Emigrated 1867. Naturalized Mary Jane, 40 had 7 children, 6 living, born January 1860 in Wales. Emigrated 1863 Thomas, 20, born July 1879, mine laborer Emma, 16, born March 1884 Frank, 8, born September 1891 Sarah, 3 born February 1897 Note: The fact that Thomas was naturalized means there should be naturalization records at the Schuylkill County Court House. Later record on Mary says she was naturalized in 1874. 1910 Census – Gilberton (SD ED 27 Gilbert Street Thomas Judd, 56, married 33 years, truant officer?? in public school, emigrated from England 1866 Mary Jane, 50, had 7 children, 6 living Frank, 18, laborer in coal mine Sarah, 13 1920 Census – Gilberton, S32, page 2AD 6, ED Shaft Street Mary Judd, 60, widowed, emigrated 1864, naturalized 1874 retail merchant, confectionery store Emma Davis, 36, widow.
