thanks, but I have the information you listed. I want to know if Wilmer Hatter who with LIllian Willier had a daughter Alma b. in 1931. I also want to know is this the same as Wilmer R. Hatter m. to Helen. I have Helen's obit. Perhaps Wilmers obit would help. On 7/26/2012 10:32 PM, gc-gateway@rootsweb.com wrote: > In the 1940 census, Wilmer is still a miner. He and his wife are listed with no children.

When your grandfather remarried, he stated his first marriage ended in divorce in Dauphin County, PA on 10.19.1943, March Term 1943. Link to record: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VFSH-NHD I would review the divorce record at the county courthouse and subsequent records. It might have information about support for the child, Anna, and when support terminated. I cannot seem to find that 1940 census record. I believe his first wife was Margaret Rita Kline. Perhaps the Mary was actually Margaret abbreviated as Marg. Take a look at this record: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VF9Y-XD7 I searched for a record of remarriage of Margaret Kline Carroll in PA and was unable to find any.
