Hello: I thought I would share this (limited) information in case someone is trying to find shipping record for their Welsh ancestors coming to the USA. I found an 1833 shipping record that lists Welsh persons traveling to "Pottsfield" Pennsylvania. Where is Pottsfield? Is this Pottsville? I found my REES ancestor on this ship, heading to Carbondale (but she later went to St. Clair). Most of my immidiate ancestors are all buried in the catholic cemetary (Immaculate conception) I think there was a small fire but the church didnt burn down.. My Dad was born in Tremont in 1906, Francis Bambrick. I've been through the cemetery but have not located, and IC doesn't have a list of buriels. What I'm looking for, haven't located a head stone, is a grave for my Great Grandparents Henry Bambrick & his wife Catherine (Sweeney) Bambrick who died between 1910 & 1920. Their address according to the 1910 census was in Good Springs. Is it possible they are buried there? Also a son Francis Bambrick, disd in 1905, was a teacher & living with his parents.
