    1. [PASCHUYL] Abraham STAHLER of Tamaqua
    2. G.
    3. Hi, I'm looking for info on the parents and birth-date of Abraham STAHLER of Tamaqua, PA. According to federal census records, he was born about 1810. In 1829 he married Fayetta LICHTENWALNER, who was born in Longswamp township, Berks County. They were married by the Rev. Daniel Zeller (Sellers) who officiated at churches in Upper Milford and Lower Macungie twps., Lehigh Co. I suspect that Abraham was from that area, too. They had 6 children (6 others died young) before her death in 1857: Elizabeth (John Rogers) David (Sarah Haldeman) Urbanus (Mary Bolton, Margaret Friedenburg) Catherine (Edward Worrel) Fayette (Abraham Miles) Lawrence (Sarah McAllister). Abraham married again, "Catherine", with whom he had one additional son, Lewis born 1859, and continued to reside in Tamaqua until his death, probably in 1879. I'm aware of an Abraham Stahler born in 1788 to Philip Stahler of Upper Milford Twp - Lehigh Co., but I am doubtful they are one and the same. Thanks in advance, Gloria --------------------------------- Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? Check outnew cars at Yahoo! Autos.

    3. You are unblieveable!!! Again I would have never looked for Kimley. You have the right family I went and looked at the actual census on Ancestry last night and you have hit the jackpot with them. This is really close to home. Rush is just a couple of miles from me. I live in Tamaqua. I am leagelly blind and cannot search locally without help. My husband used to help me look but he has been dead for nearly 10 years. I use Ancestry but being creative with name spelling is hard for me. If you can find 1860 that is about as much as I will be able to do on them. I am also very slow in my hunting. I spend hours trying to find something on Ancestry. You are really a god send to me and I am so thankful for your help. 3. Thank you so very much! I had found on Ancestry that Caroline Leibich and John Gimbi were the parents of Albert but there are several Alberts and just did not know if that was the correct couple. I just would have never looked for the last name of Gennty. Shows you how much the census takers can mess up the last names of people. Please tell me how you searched for them so I can find them in the 1860 census. I believe that John Gimbi the father was born in Germany. Want to find as much on them as possible. I am very grateful to you for this help.
