    2. Barbara Welch
    3. Maurice, My thanks to you that you are caring for these American graves. There is a list of Americans interred overseas from World War II but Albert Kedell is not included. I wonder why these four men were not included in the American military cemeteries that dot the Europe landscape. I did find Albert's enlistment record. It states that he was born in Pennsylvania in 1918, white, enlisted July 29, 1942, in the U.S. Army, served as private, had one year of high school, was single with no dependents, and described as 68 inches tall and weighing 157 pounds. His brother John born in 1917 enlisted in the U.S. Air Corps on November 20, 1945, was married and employed as an auto mechanic. Their father William Kedell (also shown as Kedel) died on July 15, 1918, and was buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne, France. He had served as a private in the 166th Infantry Regiment, 42nd Division. So the father and son both rest in European soil. If these graves do not have small American flags next to them, I would like to send you some so that you could add these. We try to see that all American military and veterans' graves have flags and do this each year on May 30 which we call Memorial Day. This began right after the end of our Civil War (1861-1865). I would need your address to do this. Sincerely, Barbara Welch A native of Schuylkill County who now resides outside of Washington, D.C. -----Original Message----- From: paschuyl-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:paschuyl-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, May 27, 2007 5:12 PM To: PASCHUYL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PASCHUYL] Albert Kedell This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I'm descended from John & Rebecca Foust who moved to Mifflin County, PA by 1830. Rebecca Foust was born in 1796. They had these children: Jacob b. 1821 (born Berks County); Sarah Ann b. 1833 (b. Mifflin County) and James L. born 1835. Does anyone know the parents of John Foust or Rebecca, his wife? Also, I've been told by another researcher that the will of William Cox (1822 Columbia County) listed his daughter, Rebecca, as married to John Foust. I'm trying to research whether this could be my John & Rebecca Foust. I checked these census records: 1800 Census: John Foust – Mahoning Township, Northumberland County, aged 26-44 (Columbia County was formed from Northumberland County in 1813) 1820 Census: John Foust Sr. - Hemlock Township, Columbia County. Aged 45 or over John Foust Jr. – same township, aged 16 to 26. (Could this be John married to Rebecca Cox?) 1830 Census John Foust – Hemlock Township, Columbia County, aged 70 to 80 Where was John Foust, Sr. in the 1790 Census? Does anyone know who the parents were of John Foust, Sr.? Does he fit into one of the Foust families from Berks County? Does anyone know more about the family of John Foust, Jr.? 2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as G. M. HUME of Lofty, Pennsylvania. The photograph was taken at the James J. Ward Studio in Audenried, PA. It was probably taken sometime in the 1880's with Mr. HUME appearing to be in his 30's at the time it was taken. I'm hoping to locate someone from this HUME Family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
