There is indeed a Sacred Heart in Newtown as well as a cemetery about .5 miles away. I lived across the street from the Allar family and still stay in touch. -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: PASCHUYL-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, 22 Jun 2007 10:33 am Subject: [PASCHUYL] sacred heart church in newtown This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Rosanne Troy Chesakis rmc2@psu.edu __________________________________ Yes, I know where the German Protestant Cemetery is located. On top of the Vulcan Hill which is just off Route 81. You take the road that directs you to Morea, New Boston and Frackville. The German Protestant is the first cemetery you come to. There are two sections...on the right is considered the 'new' section, on the left there is a parking lot and tool shed...this is the 'older' part of the cemetery. Those buried there are from various Protestant (and some Catholic) demoninations. The cemetery was compiled by Phillip A. Rice... on page 88... RUDLOFF, ILLEGIBLE, b. July 25, 1846, d. Sep ?., 1880 also a gray makrer with 4 or 5 illegible names page 90 RUDLOFF, George, b Feb 8, 1845, d May 18, 1897 there is another spelling that is close to Rudloff which may be related... RUDEOFF, George, no dates - Citizens Steam Fire Co., No 2 (which is a local fire company in MC) Hope this helps. Shirley Hannah Eliz., b Oct 13, 1851, d. July 9, 1897 p.s. I'm looking for obits of three Bossler brothers that lived in Schuylkill County. Alfred Bossler lived in New Ringgold died Jan 6, 1895 Frank S Bossler lived in Hegins, Valley View died May 20, 1907 Samuel S Bossler lived in West Orwigsburg, in 1880 it was West Brunswick but he's not with his family in the 1900 census so I take it he was in a hospital. He died March 4, 1904 Should I contact the library in each of these places or hire a researcher for the Pottsville Historical Society for all of them since they don't have researchers there to handle research by mail because of low funding from the government. If the libraries have the obits, can someone give me the names of the libraries in each place. Thank you for any help. Jo-Ann, Faye Alvania Seitzinger Allvord (1910-1978) fits with some of my work, i.e., looking at MEDER family line. Faye was the eldest daughter/child of Stella Irene Meder Seitzinger (1889-1975). Faye was a niece of Eleanor Alberta Meder (1910-2005) who was married to my father's cousin, Wm. Leo SCHRAGEN (1915-1983). Eleanor was Stella's "baby sister." Eleanor & Wm. had 2 children: Elizabeth Ann (m. to Dean N. PAUL) & Louis Wm. (1945-1988) who was married to Ruth Carol Atherton (1943-1997).
