Just a word about the surname Shive. It can also be Shipe and Scheib which is the most common spelling today. > [Original Message] > From: <LDSdeseretrose@aol.com> > To: <paschuyl@rootsweb.com> > Date: 7/25/2007 9:17:26 PM > Subject: [PASCHUYL] is anyone going to the Schuylkill Historical Society? > > I am researching my Shive family from Schuylkill township > > David Shive born about 1791 in Schuylkill township > > and Catherine Bixler born 1795 in Maryland > > If anyone is going or can help me with any lookups on their > family, please contact me. > > I will be glad to reimburse costs of going to the > genealogy library there. > > Kathy in Las Vegas > > > > ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at > http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to PASCHUYL-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Thanks so much for the info on the Stahlers in Dutch Hill cemetery. Yes, several of them are my ancestors. "Fyetta" - Fayetta (Lichtenwalner) Stahler - is my ggg-grandmother and wife of the elusive Abraham. Emma, Abraham, and Joseph were their children. They also had two other children, Jemina and Mathias, who died young. I'm not sure where they are buried. Six other children lived to adulthood and had families: Elizabeth (Rogers) Catherine (Worrell) Fayetta (Miles) Urbanus Lorentz David - died in Andersonville Prison during the Civil War. I'm not sure about the other Stahlers you have mentioned, but it's a very good chance they are related, too. By any chance do you have any info on Phillip Staller, his parents or his siblings, and where he was born? I'm speculating that he might have moved to Schuylkill County after he was married because he already had siblings there. Any help is greatly appreciated.
