    1. [PASCHUYL] Zion in Orwin, and Lutheran pastors Wm H Dale and Geo M Scheidy
    2. RESF Genealogy
    3. I don't know if anyone has this information or can tell me where I might get it. Zion Evangelical Lutheran is now St. Peter's UCC in Orwin. Online I have found some "pastoral acts" suggesting that the pastors George M. Scheidy and W H Dale either worked at Zion or served a few times there, cannot be sure. If they did work there, I wanted to find out their years of service to Zion which would have been around the turn of the century. I also hoped to find out if my great grandfather went there. If anyone has a church history, or has the pastoral or membership records or knows how I might research them, I'd be really appreciative. Thanks for any assistance!

    1. [PASCHUYL] Seeking Polaconis family members in Shenandoah, PA
    2. Joanie Hartman
    3. Hi listers, I am anxious to make contact with any "Polaconis" family members or those with family information on this surname. I've recently learned that my search for my maternal grandmother leads me straight to this family. I have located a Mary and a Joseph Polaconis on a PA directory and will attempt writing or calling if I am unable to make contact via email...but I was sure hoping to find someone on this list that has information on those currently living in Shenandoah by this surname. Thanks for any help, Joanie Hartman

Don't know just what I was thinking. Too much sun today I guess. It's not St. Patrick's church but St. John the Baptist church that is very helpful, etc. I know this from firsthand experience with them. I don't know anything about St. Patrick's church. St. Patrick's church in Pottsville is very helpful. They do have someone that volunteers & looks up info in the records & there is a set fee for this service. They do need names & appr. dates. I believe that St. Stephens have their own records. If you need the phone numbers & addresses then just post that you need them & I'll look them up in the telelphone book & get back to you. I sincerely appreciate your help ! Your reply leaves me with two more questions. If anyone can help with these, again, I will be truly grateful: 1. If Father Longinus performed the ceremony at St. Stephen's in Port Carbon, would the marriage record be there or at St. Patrick's ? 2. Does St. Fidelus in Mahanoy City now also hold the Church Records for St. Canicus ? I remember reading something about this a while back, but am not sure what the answer was. 1. [PASCHUYL] English Baptist- St Clair - Message Completed
    2. Somehow my previous message went out incomplete - here is the whole thing: I believe there was an "English Baptist Sunday School" in St. Clair in the 1870's or 1880's. Can anyone provide info about the church it was connected to? I'm particularly interested to know if the church records are available anywhere? In our family there is a small New Testament inscribed "Presented to Fanny Lockett by the Baptist Sunday School as a reward for regular attendance. St. Clair, Pa. Feby 25th 1877, D.W.Lewis Supt." There is a second New Testament volume inscribed "Presented to William Locket by the Eng. Baptist Sunday School of St. Clair. March 19, 1882, W.H. Lewes, attest T.T. Williams" . This volume has a 2nd inscription "Charles H. Locket given by William (L or T) Locket" Thanks, Katharine
