I am currently trying to get all of my sthings back on the computer. I do not know for sure when I can accomodate any lookups again. My suggestion are this: 1) for anyone who wants info from the 1800s is to look elsewhere as I did not have it in the first place. 2) if you need info on the immigration of people from the mid 1600s to mid 1700s from Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and Scotland (but not England), then give me a few weeks until I can get the CDs back from a relative and I can help you. Just remember... I DO NOT have any info on marriages, baptisms, etc, from the Berks/Schuylkill counties, except my own families. I never did have any info on any who are not related to me, and I doubt I'd have any of that info in the near future, unless you are looking for anyone with a Zettlemeyer (or various spelling name), Barrett, Loebrich, or Waltz families, and those who married into them, info. However, I DID have a book that was downloaded to my old computer of prominent families in that area, but that book was lost when my computer crashed. I'm sorry if this sounds rude. It seems that people are not looking at WHAT info I had listed as available in April...and are asking for things that I do not have. If anyone wants to know what I have (as soon as I get it back from my family member who has it), then please look at my first posting! Thank you for your consideration. Mike ~ There is a five page ARW pension file for a Peter Kutz on HeritageQuest....the number is S2714, and he stated he was 70 years old "or thereabouts". The pension file was dated Jan 14, 1833, and did not have any further family information. Are you *sure* he died in 1817? Barb, Many thanks for the information. The reason I am searching Schuylkill County is that is supposedly where Peter Kutz passed away. The SAR Patriot index shows Peter's wife as Maria Catherine Faust/Paust. The DAR notation of F.A.M.P.S. (future applications must prove service) is news to me, and I appreciate getting it. I will have to get back with the descendant and have him check the information he fed me. If anyone out there has any other clues, I would appreciate hearing from you. There's a notice attached to his record that future DAR applicants must reprove the service and lineage to this patriot. I'm not sure what exactly you are searching for in Pottsville. If it pertains to Peter Kutz any records prior to 1811 would be found in Reading, the county seat of Berks. I was just to the courthouse there in June and they have very few records from before 1800. Looks like a fire might have destroyed them although a resident explained that when the new courthouse was built a lot of old papers were accidently thrown out. Maybe you should try accessing church records from Berks Co. Good luck.
