    3. Hi, Now I am all confused again. Doesn't Esther Reed married to John Yeich and her mother was a Berkheiser fit into this relation anywhere? They are also buried at Summer Hill, and my g.g. grandparents. Their son Solomon Yeich was the father of my grandmother Esther Yeich Thanks for whatever clarification you can give. --------------------------------- Looking for a deal? Was it an interpretation from a hand written document? The closest that I can think of in Schuylkill County is Mackeysburg, which is near Heckscherville, in Cass Township. Minersville the nearest town has a Welsh cemetery but I don't know what church it was connected with. Author: kejgen Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.schuylkill/11360.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi, Barb and thanks for considering my query. In my first post I mixed up notes on two photos I have. I am still trying to pin down Keagey, but the photo I have that he did is of a single woman. Her dress appears to be the style of the Civil War period, and if she is who I think she is (Ruth Anna Mayer), she would have been about 20 yrs old in 1860, which matches the appearance of the woman in the photo. In any case I also found some census entries for Keagey and have listed them below in case they are of interest to you. The 1870 entry may be another man. If I have the right man, he sure switched occupation between 1870 and 1900, and I thought Keagey was operating as a photographer in Shenandoah before 1870 - but he would have been pretty young. The Schuylkill Co Historical Society is high on my list of places to visit. I'll keep you in mind when I get to check their records. Author: barbarameyer91 Surnames: Koch, Merwine, Eisenhower, Horlacher et al Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.schuylkill/11360.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi! Several years age (2003) I tried to establish the time period for the Keagey studios in Shenandoah as I also have some family pictures from there. Unfortunately, mine are neither identified (they are probably my Horlacher or Koch family from Ringtown)or dated. W.A.Keagey was located at 112 W Coal Street in Shenandoah. I was able to make contact with another researcher who was interested in Schuylkill Co photographers. He was able to access a book (I don't have the title) that listed Pa photographers. The book was not very good but did list Keagey as being in Shenandoah 1890-91. These dates were probably taken from a city directory. My contact said he checked the 1900 census and found that Keagey was no longer in Shenandoah at that time. This doesn't help too much but does establish that the pictures were probably taken before 1900. Have you tried contacting the Schuylkill County Historical Society? This is something I should have done myself but neglected to do. They may have more information. Hope this helps a little.
