Their descendants were later in adjacent Lebanon Co then Caroline Wolf (my gr grandmother)married into Zechman family, husband George Franklin Zechman, their daughter was my grandmother Eva Zechman, who married Royal Bruce Snyder. Also noticed new info on Maria Eva Wolf as the baptism sponsor for my ancestor, Maria Eva Gephardt/Gebhardt who was married to Lt. Bernhardt Zimmerman who fought w/PA militia in Rev. War. Who was Maria Eva Wolf, her relationship to Maria Eva G. Zimmerman, and any Maria Eva Wolf descendants. Are these Wolfs related to each other??New mystery. How these ties are interwoven in that central southern PA area. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. ALSO, forgive my ignorance but what is Pub of Historical Society of Schuylkill Co, V1 etc in reference to and is that online or how can I access from here in Florida??? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, my heartfelt gratitude. And Happy Thanksgiving one and all. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Karen, Although I wasn't able to find a Mary/Magdalena Williams on the Schuylkill Co. pension roll of 1883 (at least not a widow although there is a Magdalena Williamson), it is possible she applied for a widow's pension that was due her from her husband's death during the Civil War. She would have needed her marriage certificate or other proof that provided date and place of marriage to receive such a pension and such documents might be in a pension file at the U.S. Archives in DC. However if she remarried after the war, she would not be eligible for a pension. His wife was Mary or Magdalena Kuhns b. abt 1813-1815 and died 24 Jan 1903. There is no death record for Mary in Schuylkill and there is a cemetery, but no marker. I obtained her last name from her daughter's death certificate. The daughter was Anetta Dunleavy, wife of James Dunleavy. I believe that William and Mary married sometime between 1844-1848. I have never been able to find out if any marriage records exist in Schuylkill for that time period. Hope to hear from someone! Hi Bill: I know that Sadie's father was John Dieter and mother was Lizzie Geist from her baptismal record. I can't find another on John. Sadie did leave PA and went on the AZ, OH & IN. She was married several other times. I found a Verna that was either in the 1930 census in Snyder co. I believe in the Laurelton Village for Feeble Minded Women. She the right age. I found a Verna A. Spotts on the SSDI, so I have ordered her death cert from PA. Karen P.S. I sure hope you can find something about John Deiter or Dieter! ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
