I can think of one or two that I have inherited that were taken by a Pottsville photographer. And there was Ellen Ernst's funeral card. No doubt Gram wrote to Anna, asking for more information. How she knew Anna, I don't know. Her mother had spent several years in PA, but Gram was totally unfamiliar with her grandfather's family. More info available. 1. [PASCHUYL] School Census or Records
    2. Karlie Lundell
    3. Hello everyone   This past weekend I went to a genealogy conference. A lady there showed a school census record for Chester County, PA in 1830's. It showed the head of household, what kids were attending school and their age. She said she found this record in the county court records under minutes. But, in another state they were in state archives.   Does anyone know about school censuses or records? and where I might be able to find these for Schuylkill County?   Thanks for your help Karlie Lundell

I guess that you have the same information that I have. James Chapman was my grandfather. He moved to Rhode Island, married Esther Dean, had 2 sons,Francis, my father, and James Harold. James died Nov.9,1931. I don't have any information about William otherthan what's in the 1860,70, and 80 census reports. You mentioned that Margaret was english and emigrated in 1869. According to census she was irish and already residing in Schuykill in 1860. I,ll keep looking, see if I can come up with anything else. I'll be really glad if this works out!
