You have been very helpful in the past, also. Fred Ludeman was married two times, but his first wife died very young, possibly in childbirth, because he was left with an infant son. His second wife was Caroline Wilhelmina RUNGE who was hired to care for his infant son... and soon he married her and went on to have 13 more children. I have most of the church records. Not all of the births were recorded. According to the 1875 Beers Plat map, F. LUDERMAN was living about half way between Gordon and Rocktown. The map shows a railway that runs along Mahanoy Creek. F. Luderman is north of that and fairly close to a road that is marked with a schoolhouse. J. Bilder and C. Klasse and Mrs. Dillman are close neighbors. Friederika Ludemann was married to Christian Schrader. According to my records, they had at least 7 children. I believe Friederika was a sister to my Fred Ludeman. However, my records are based on what I found and "concluded" from the Zion German Lutheran Church records. There may be errors in my conclusions. I am not directly related to the Schrader family. I have put them in my files, but have not done further research on that line. I appreciate any help you might give me on locating the farm. What area of Gordon are you refering to? Perhaps I can help you to locate the area. Ludemann, my file shows me 2 Fred Ludemann's, according to baptism records of Zion German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ashland, one married to a Caroline Runge and the other married to a Wilhelmina Runge. So was he married to sisters? Or was her name Caroline Wilhelmina or visa versa? According these same records, he had 3 children with each. I also have a Fredericka Ludeman married to a Christian Schroeder/Schrader of Ashland. According to above mentioned records they had 4 children. Hopefully this helps a bit and perhaps you can help me with the Schroeder/Schrader lines. Thanks Joanne Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I would like to locate the farm where my grandmother was born in 1875. She was the daughter of Fred and Caroline (RUNGE) LUDEMANN, one of 14 LUDEMANN children. I know the approximate location is near Gordon, PA, but am wondering if someone could give me a more exact description or directions to the area which was their farm. The family left PA about 1880. The Beers County Atlas of 1875 lists F. LUDERMAN, located just northwest of Gordon. Any further information about the present-day area would be helpful. Hello Everyone Does anyone know how I can contact the Cressona Cemetery? I tried getting a number off the internet, but couldn't find one. I have ancestors buried there and would like to see what other ancestors are there. Find a Grave only has a partial list. Thank you for any help you can give me. Karlie Lundell
