The courthouse also has some records, but not much and you have to go thru the records dept at home and get permission letter from them to go and look at them. The records are filthy and in sad shape, I've seen them. Joanne Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In the 1860 Hegins census, a "Henrietta Rabock" was living with the Harners. Lydia Harner was there, age 25. She would later be listed as living with my grandparents as the "mother-in-law" in 1910. "Henrietta's" age is 4 years, which would be the same age as "Harriet". This is most interesting to me, as it also adds to our family's nationality. Where did you find that name exactly? I found a "Henrietta Rabuck" in the census from I forget what year who would have been the right age...Then never saw that name again. I was wondering if that was her! She was listed with a family with another name (possibly Harners?), and I think she was around 4 years old at that point. I need to go through some paperwork when I get home. There was also a "Lydia Harner", age 75, living with Daniel and Harriet and named as a mother-in-law, but the only one I ever found never appeared to have married or reproduced, unless she was divorced and married briefly to a Rabuck. And I may be dense but I cannot find the tree you referred me to. I swear I have seen the name, now I can't find it. If I can be of any help to you, please let me know. This could be it! Thanks again! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I think I remember seeing her postings in my searching, and I'll have to go back and check them out. In my own meager beginning research, I keep getting back to those names, too. The maiden name for Harriet Baum is really driving me crazy. Her son's obituary doesn't even list it. I might have to write for her obit from the library. They have a Harriet listed there and I hope it's the right one. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I just contacted their records department and some of the "records" are still kept right at the nursing home. The original building was torn down. Unfortunately, medical records are only kept for 7 years, so I got very little info on my relative who was there from 1939-1962. The records manager (very nice and helpful, and who turned out to be a distant relation!) found what she could and is faxing me the info today. Some of it is only kept on index cards. Good luck.
