All we know is that his great-grandfather Ihnat (a.k.a. "Joseph") Falatovich (1865-1917), along with a number of other coal miners, built a stone wall around a "St. Mary's Cemetery" in McAdoo, PA, sometime between 1910 and 1917 for the church. The Falatovich family plot is supposed to be located in this cemetery near the front gate. Some of the names one might find in this plot would be Falatovich, Yuhas and Galaijda. There may be others also. From what I have been able to find out, there are several "St. Mary's" churches / cemeteries in McAdoo - a St. Mary's Assumption, a St. Mary's Slovak, a St. Mary's Roman Catholic and a St. Mary's Ukrainian - all of which we are unable to locate any viable contact information on. If anyone is familiar with this area, and knows of this particular cemetery, we would appreciate immensely, getting some contact information on the cemetery, and/or photos of the plots, the wall etc -anything that could help in our research and add to our family history. Thanks in advance. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. However, I have noticed some problems in the microfilmed indexes of the Dept. of Health. For example, if you go to 1933 - and try to find M200 - you will not find it. But if you look at the page numbers at the bottom of the particular page - you will find about a 12 page gap - where the people that produced the microfilm skipped pages. And since the online index was produced from the microfilm - and not from the original index - there is a gap. I have pointed this problem out to the State Archives staff. So beware - just because you can't find your ancestors - doesn't mean they're not in the files -- they're just not in the index. The three letter code is made up of numbers assigned to the consonants in the surname, all vowels are dropped as are the letters W, H and Y Code: 1 - B, F, P, V 2 - C,G, J, K, Q, S, X, Z 3 - D, T 4 - L 5 - M, N 6 - R as an example my surname Sunderland would be found under the letter "S" with the code for the letters N,D,R which would be 536, if there are more than 3 consonants only the first 3 are used Wish I had found this when I started searching in the lists, finding the name in the first year where the soundex was used, took me forever, then I could use it in the years afterward for a very quick search. Hope you're all finding your ancestors in the index, PA will be getting lists of $3.00 requests from me Elizabeth Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In the e-mail to which you were responding, there should be a link to a Message Board URL. Clicking on the link will take you to the message board, where you can post a reply to the earlier posting. Your posting will be gated to the mailing list. You should also be able to find the e-mail address of whoever posted the earlier message, if you want to correspond with them directly. If you just want to send your e-mail to the mailing list without posting on the Message Board, try paschuyl-l@rootsweb.com With regard to your question about why John and Susanna are not buried together, below are some possibilities, although I don't know if any of them apply in your particular case (I have relatives in situations 2 & 3). 1. Susanna may have been previously married and is buried with her earlier spouse. 2. John may have remarried and is buried with his later spouse. 3. They may have been divorced (not as likely, back then) or for whatever reason, John just didn't want to be buried with Susanna. 4. Their wishes to be buried together may have been ignored for some reason. Are either of them buried wth someone else? If so, the identity of the other person, and when they died, may give you a clue. Good luck, and I hope that this helps, Charlie Boley > From: mrmrsc@everestkc.net > To: PASCHUYL-L@rootsweb.com > Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2012 10:37:34 -0500 > Subject: [PASCHUYL] Mail > > I received this > Today's Topics: > 1.
