Author: thewatkins_1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: Message Board Post: Malcolm, It seems to me that everything points to our Louisa being one & the same. Too many pieces fit. Does THIS fit with YOUR Auntie Louisa?? Death 1937 27 Mar Age: 63 Breconshire, Wales Probate Date 1937 12 Jun Gloucester Watkins, Louisa of The Shop of Llangenny, Breconshire widow cited 27 March 1937 at Dany Ffawyddog Llangattock Breconshire Admin Gloucester 12 June to James Parry Effects: L576 15s 1d It would make sense, that your Grandfather, James (her brother) was the one to administer her estate, in that you have her vase. I know that it's not much.... but it's not mentioning a brother Mortimer or Alfred. The Towns fit, as well. So, since she would be the "Louisa Parry Watkins" who was "Of the Shop of Llangenny" (makes sense... she worked there before she & John married. (oh & I have their marriage confirmation), then they are on the 1911 census in Llangenny. I have that, as well. I think we could be "related by marriage." It is a shame they never had children. Do you know where she & her husband are buried? Possibly in Llangenny? I know that her parents are buried in Llambedr with his Grandparents - Henry & Elizabeth Lewis Skyes. John's mother was Elizabeth Sykes Watkins. The son Thomas (brother to John Jr) is the one who came to the USA that we (my husband, et all) are descended from. If you want any of the records that I have, let me know. email address is Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
