Thanks!! =================== Hi Saundra, I hope this email address still works for you. I found an old posting of yours on ancestry.com. I'm amazed I hadn't found it sooner. I must not have done the right search since your posting. Are you still researching the Parr family? I am also a decendant of Jonathan and Eliza Parr. My great-great grandmother was Eliza Jane Parr, your great-great grandfather Edward's sister. I'm not sure where you are located geographically, or how extensive your research is, but I have a lot of locally available information that I can share with you, if you don't already have it. I have a sketch of Jonathan Parr, a map of the 3000 acres he owned subdivided between his 7 children, several articles (I think one is on Edward), census records, photos of their cemetary plot, etc etc. My family is still local and I was even born in Los Gatos (in a hospital bordered on one side by W. Parr Ave, no less!). I'm excited to have found you, as you are the only other Parr decendant I have locat! ed so far. I'd love to see some of Edward's diary, if you have scanned any of it. Take care, Viki

    3. I assume the hospital was Good Samaritan. When we located in Santa Clara County in 1968 we noticed the Parr street you mentioned. I always wondered about its history, but since we relocated to Morgan Hill, just south of San Jose I never thought much about it. We had a Parr in San Martin who raised horses. My wife and I were active in youth sports leagues and help found the Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League in 1981. We always got calls about horses, and I always wondered if the San Martin Parr got calls on Soccer. By the time I got interested in genealogy, 1992-93 I had lost touch with the San Martin Parr and forgot about the Los Gatos street. I would be interested in any history you might post on either Parrs. I am sure we are not related since my Parr ancester emigrated from Lancashire, England in 1880 and settled in Streator, IL. But I am sure your stories would be interesting.
