    1. Re: [PARR]
    2. Hi Arnold, I though you and I had written regarding this issue before. I am webmaster for the "Proud to be Parr" website and descendant of Joseph Parr and Jane Kennedy. My Joe is related to Young Parr (Charlotte Lawson), Robert Parr (Ann Love) and John Parr (Delilah Gunter) who had land in Cramahe Township in the early part of 1800s themselves. At this point in time, we have all of the above named, listed as children of James Parr and Nancy (Ann) Montgomery who had land in Cavan Township, Ontario. Not all of the children we that we have listed as theirs are noted above, and to me, there are far too many boys for one family. So far, I have not found one Parr family with as many boys maturing to adulthood and marrying as we have suggested with this particular family. It has long been a "gut feeling" that my Joe does not belong in this family for several reasons. One of which is that his first born son was named Thomas and his last born son was named James. I have a query on the Parr Bulletinboard asking for any information on a Thomas Parr who, it was said, had immigrated to Ontario and settled in Prince Edward County. I have not found any record to back up that claim. I too have discovered a Daniel Parr in early 1800s Cramahe Twp. (I believe it was) records, while trying to find this elusive Thomas Parr. The Thomas I refer to was "kicked off his land" in County Cavan, Ireland "for too much wine and woman." His living descendant suggested I look in the Prince Edward County area of Ontario as he was always told Thomas DID have children, and did immigrate to Canada. Bet you're saying . . . NOW I remember <GRIN>. Any information you have about him and that county I would be really interested in. My Parrs had a presence in PEC by the 1860s and I think possibly earlier. I have records of a Joseph, Harriet and Daniel Parr from the 1830s on, but so far I have not found any thing on a Thomas Parr. I have yet to establish whether I am related to Joseph, Harriet and Daniel. 3. Trish I remember most of what you have researched, but I did not remember the part about PEC. I am strongly continuing my research in that County and I'll keep you posted if I find out anything about your Thomas Parr. Now turning to Daniel Parr. When you have time please let me know what you found out about the Daniel Parr of Cramahe Twp. That is not far from PEC where the Daniel Parr I have researched lived in the mid 1800s. I have no information about where and when this Daniel Parr died. Arnold trish@eParrs.com wrote: > > Hi Arnold, > > I though you and I had written regarding this issue before. 2. Hi Arnold, Woops, after checking my "Other Parr" file I see it was Murray Township that Daniel Parr was discovered in an early census record. Apparently, Daniel settled in the township in 1848. No further info was given. Hope this is of help to you.
