    1. [PARR] Martha Ellen Parr
    2. It has been some time since I asked about the parents of Martha Ellen Parr. She was born in 1837 in Obion County, TN., married Cicero Burt and had two children, William Thomas and Roxana. I believe Cicero died in the Civil War then Martha married Frank Winston. Does anyone have this family in their linage? Thanks, Bonnie Solomon

John Parr's parents were John Parr Sr. (d. ca 1826, Lincoln Co., Tenn.) and Polly Bynum (d. 1834, Obion Co., Tenn.). Susan Johnston's parents were George W. Johnston (d. ca 1841, Maury Co., Tenn.) and Mary. John Parr Sr.'s parents were William Parr Sr. (d. 1787, Caswell Co., N.C.) and Mary Bush. Here's the Parr line down to Martha Ellen Parr -- 1. John Parr Sr. (born ca 1756, Essex Co., Va.; d. ca 1826, Lincoln Co., Tenn.) and Polly Bynum (d. 1834, Obion Co., Tenn.; daughter of Samuel Bynum). 3. John Parr Jr. (born ca 1796, Lincoln Co., N.C.; died 1852, Ouachita Co., Ark.) and Susan JOHNSTON (daughter of George W. Johnston & Mary; name also appears as Johnson; George W. Johnston died about 1841 in Maury Co., Tenn.). 4. Martha Ellen Parr (born 8 Mar 1837, Obion co., Tenn.). Helen Young Austin Tex.
