Only clue I can think of is remark by Hugh to his nephew, James Carter. Looking at a highway sign for Haskell (TX), he commented that he remembered coming thru Haskell in a covered wagon. I think that was as a boy. Cecil was in El Paso, TX, by 1922 because daughter Juana Veldean born there Dec 1922. there were 2 older children (twins) than she who died at birth, but don't know if in El Paso. Haskell would be on the way to El Paso from Cooke county. Or they might have gone back to AR for a while. I think Cecil and Emma maybe met in AR and/or married there. some family rumor thinks Della's maiden name was Hendricks. thanks for this info. Ted
