I don't completely know my dates, but I believe it is John, who is the lord of Parr and father to William de Parr (de or del, and Parr or Parre), who became a mercenary and what I believe was previously a knight to King John of Gaunt. From there he married Elizebeth of ROOS who was in ownership of Kendal Castle in which William de Parr's loyalty to John of Gaunt gave him access to such marriage consent. This was around the time of the late 1300's, and if there were mercenaries beforehand I do not know the trade of the family. All I know is that William de Parr had a son named Thomas Parr, who then had the son William Parr, which then had a son named Thomas agian(O_o), which I believe had a daughter named Catherine (originally Katherine) which was the 6th queen to King Henry the VIII. :) Thats how it goes in climax to the Parr family, and! still yet theres more to come. :)
