Kathleen, Please change the subject line or not use my subject line as your post. I only want info on John Parr and Mary Thamas--not anyone from Hungry. The Parrs and Thamases were from England, possibly Wilburton area. Thanks That would save me a lot of time as I would not have to read your messages. If I happen to come across your line of Parrs, I will let you know. ----- Original Message ----- From: <JSimmons@InfoAve.net> To: <PARR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 30, 2002 4:40 AM Subject: [PARR] Re: John Parr b. ? d. 1745 m. I am pretty sure of the 1914 trip, but the 1903 one says he was from Sarod, and I am not sure that is the right Jozsef Sos. He was born in 1867, so he could have moved around in Hungary before coming here. I am looking for his birth place, he was apparently orphaned as an infant and went to live with his mother's sister, but I have no clue to their names either. I am gettin quite a Hungarian geography lesson, but I am no closer to finding Mr. Sos' family. I guess he was a true Gypsy..... > Did you ever find your Angela Parr? As far as I can tell, all my mother's aunts came over here in the 1920's the 3 uncles were all in WW I and stayed in England. I don't have any info on their families. I have a picture of their mother, Martha Parr Prescott with her 3 sons and a son-in-law (my grandfather) that was printed in a newspaper there in WW I. It states what branch branch of the military they ea. were in and where they were serving at that time. Thanks again for your help. > > > ==== PARR Mailing List ==== > Query lists are okay but please try to limit them to say, half a dozen names. Any more than that and many people just won't read them. > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
