Hi! You don't happen to know of a John Parr bc1780 in Va., moved to Ky. by 1806? He married a Lydia Litton is Lincoln Co., Ky. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Connie
LOL! Thanks for trying! If it was the same Parr---- he would have lived to be over 100 since he died in 1986! I should have been a bit more spefic with dates! This William Morris Parr was born in the early part of the 20th century.
I have a lot of information on the Parr family of Littlestown, Adams County, PA but would like to exchange information with anyone interested. I have information up to a certain point and then nothing. Here is the lineage I have: Jacob (Johann Jacob) Parr married Catharina Elisabetha Bohler; Jacob died circa 1778 and arrived in Philadelphia in 1738; I believe they were German. Jacob and Catharina had a son, John Adam, who was born in 1750 and married Elizabeth Scherman. John and Elizabeth Parr had a son, John, who was born in 1781, died in 1845 and married 1st Susanna Brouthers and 2nd Catherine Arthur in 1832. John and Susanna had a son, Enoch Alfred, who was born in 1831 and died in 1901; he married Barbara Holtzman in 1856. Enoch and Barbara Parr had a son, Charles "A." Parr in 1875; Charles died in 1950; married Martha Geiman in 1897. Charles and Martha Parr had a daughter, Anna Sevilla, who was born 1909, died 1955 and married Calvin Mundorff (my maternal grand! father) in 1927. Does anyone had more information on Enoch's ancestors (i.e., John and Jacob Parr)? I do not have information past Anna Sevilla Parr. Does anyone have information on the siblings of my direct line?f
Do you know if any of them or their offspring went to IN? I have a John W Parr b in the 1820's that I haven't been able to connect to his family?
Hello Jenny, Your Wilmom Purvis Parr is burried in the Center Point Cemetery Just north of Hazen Arkansas. I have pictures of his tombstone as I am related to that line of Parrs. His step father was Abel Bascoe Parr who was a brother to my grandfather who was a William Peyton Parr. I live in Texas now but still have brothers and sisters in Ar. There is a family tree of that side of family. William L. Tefteller
James Petrie Parr married Ann Packett in 1853 in Richmond County, Va. It is said that James was active during the War Between the States in recruiting men from the Northern Neck for the Confederate Army. Three children: John, Virginia Ann, and Elizabeth James. Anyone interested in more information may E-mail me at guyandglo@aol.com.
HELEN IF YOU WILL E-MAIL ME AT VLPARR@HOTMAIL.COM. I WOULD LIKE TO GET MORE INFORMATION FROM YOU. I AM DOING THE BEST I CAN.
I believe the Zebulon Parr who was born about 1805 was probably born in Lincoln County, North Carolina. The Lincoln County, N.C., deed books show that his father, John Parr Sr., sold his land in North Carolina in 1808. The obituary of Zebulon Parr's older brother, John Parr Jr., also stated that the family moved to Tennessee in 1808. It seems that the family may have gone to Maury County before settling in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
If you go to rootsweb I think it is the same person. Zebulon Parr, born in Lincoln County, TENNESSEE, not NC. If you email me direct I can send you the site but this way I can't do it. Joy Parr eaperfume@aol.com

Louise, Right now I have to run as I am meeting my husband so he can buy a new suit---which he would not do without me, but I will get back to you later tonight. Nancy Parr in NJ - a descendant of John Parr and Mary Corwin
You did not say where you are from?? On ancestry there are 2 Zebulon Parr in Tennessee 1810-1891 1 in New York 1790-1890, 1 marriage in Tennessee 1851-1900. Hope this helps. If these are the ones and you do not belong would be glad to look it up for you. Joy eaperfume@aol.com
In reading through the Historical Southern Families, I ran across a John Parr and Mary Curwin, marriage on Dec 19, 1719 in Morris Co. N.J. They are the parents of Benjamin, Matthias, and John. There may be other children. Benjamin went to GA and John and Matthias went to Roane Co. TN, then on to Knox Co. and Johnson Co. IN. My ggg grandfather Andrew J. Parr was born in Tenn. in abt. 1814 and moved to Johnson Co. IN. There he married Eleanor Curry on May 04, 1835. They had 8 children. I am looking for Andrew's parents. On the 1850 census, a David Parr is also listed and he is old enough to be Andrew's father, but I did not see a David listed in the children of John or Matthias. Can anyone help me open this gate in my brick wall. Matthias has a will on record in Johnson Co.. How do I find this? Thanks, Louise
Brook do you have Charles Parr that married Emma Vanarsdale, they had 3 kids we know of Charles Parr, Larena Parr and Hattie Parr. Larena Edna Parr was my great grandmother born in 1899 in Philadelphia and died in 1966 in Philadelphia. She married Harry Henry Worrell in 1907 and they had 4 kids, Harry Ed, Marian and Lillian Worrell. Any connection to your Parr's? I am searching for information on Joseph E. and Daniel Parr. The information I have shows Joseph came from Germany, (the only one in his family who came to the U.S.)and lived for a short time in North Carolina. He came to Lena, Indiana, and was one of the first settlers in Van Buren Township, Clay Co. His son was Daniel (born in North Carolina) who married Catherine Roberts December 9, 1852 and died in 1872. That is all I have been able to find out so far, we do not know where they are buried and cannot get records since they burnt in a fire at the Clay County Courthouse. If any one has any information it would be appreciated, would be glad to share what I have. Thank you!
I'm looking for any information on this man. I'm not sure when or where he was born, but I believe he died in the '40's (45-?) in KS. He was married to Jesse Steffee.
Would it be possible for you to send me the information in the Bible on the Parr family? I certainly would appreciate it. I do not know if this is my Parr Line as I have not yet made the connection, but have run across reference to it several time.
