I have a copy of John E. Parr ,Jr's will. Listed are his children as such:William {my great great great grandfather},Smith,Sarah,Isaam,Mary,Thama,and the remainder of the estate to his wife, Mary. No Elizabeth. There is an Elizabeth ,daughter of John E. Parr,Sr. She married a Corn. This is also in a copy of his will, dated 1808. Is this of any help? Sincerely, Phyllis Lewis

Their mother Margaret remarried to Peter Starnes and they moved from NC to SC. I am interested in any information anyone can provide on this family. John left SC and settled in Greene Co. I have found reference that she married Herman Husband; evidently he died leaving her with small children and I have found no trace of her afterwards. She could have possibly remarried. Her brothers and sisters were John, jr; Mary, Arthur, Thame(f), Mark, Matthew. Arthur was b. 1732 and killed by Indian in 1764. Is this of the same line? If so I am willing the swap infomation.

Hello Connie, I was looking for information on a Richard Parr,Born in Ireland, moved to Fayette,Pa about 1765. He had 2 sons that I know of. (1) Richard Parr Jr Born in 1780 in Fayette, PA. and married Mary Elliot . They had a son, Hiram Parr. (2) Samuel Parr Born in 1800. Samuel moved to Licking County Ohio, and built the first house in Newark(so I was told)

I have just traced my PARR connections back to the birth of JOHN PARR in 1845 in Exning, Suffolk, England. John's parents were probably George PARR and Kezia ASHBY of Exning. George & Kezia were married in 1840, had 8 children who survived, born between 1842 and 1862. George's parents were either Ellory PARR & Elizabeth FULLER or John PARR and Mary COCK. Kezia was the daughter of James ASHBY and Elizabeth HAMMOND, who married in 1818. John PARR, born 1845, married Susannah Elizabeth GIBSON in 1881. They had 3 children: George W, born 1881, Elizabeth May, born 1884, and another son. John and Susannah immigrated to US in 1886, and settled in Rochester, NY. Their children, Elizabeth and George, married into the family of Samuel JOHNSON.
